HALLIDAYS POINT SOCIAL TRIATHLON GROUP

CARRIER SETS NEW RECORD

In winning the October meeting of the Hallidays Point Social Triathlon Group, Natalie Carrier has set a new record time of 1:53:30 for the female division.

Her splits of 18:22 for the 1km ocean swim, 55:20 for the 20km mountain bike ride through state forests behind Tallwoods, and 39:48 for the 8km scenic run through Black Head and Red Head nature reserves and along Black Head beach gave her the only time under 2 hours for the event on the day.

First male home, and winner of the Over 65 division, was Mick Doney with a time of 2:00:35.

Events are held on the last Sunday of each month. The next event will be held on Sunday November 29. Entrants can join in all 3 legs, or just 1 or 2.  For those doing the swim leg, meet at the Black Head pool at 6.45am ready for a 7.00am start. Those doing just the bike and/or run should meet at the pool by 7.15am.

As this is a social group, there is no entry fee, but you enter at your own risk. All ages and levels of ability are welcome. Contact the co-ordinator Peter Ryall on 6559-2780 for further details.

Looking For Norm

Saw a photo of my childhood friend Norman Shapro in your guide. We went to middle school and high school in California. Would it be possible to get him this note and have him reply. It would be great to catch up.
