Demonstrations and Displays by Rainbow Flat and Diamond Beach Rural Fire Brigades

Where:  Wylie Breckenridge Park, Blackhead Road, Blackhead

Highlights:   See firefighters deal with a mock motor vehicle accident and a burning gas cylinder. Learn how to use a fire extinguisher and fire blanket and discover what not to do if the chip pan catches fire. Activities for children include colouring in and word puzzles, and the opportunity to try on a firefighter’s clothes. Find out how to become a volunteer firefighter and help yourself and your commuinity.

The next meeting on Sunday October 25 will be over the full triathlon course with a 1km swim, followed by a 20km mountain bike ride through state forests, and an 8km run through nature reserves and along Black Head Beach. Entrants can join in all 3 legs, or just one or two - the choice is yours! No entry fee and you enter at your own risk. All ages and levels of ability welcome. Meet at the Blackhead pool ready for a 7am start. Join us for breakfast afterwards.
